How to prepare your house or land for a fire.

• Keep a vegetation-free zone surrounding your house by trees and grasses.

• Minimalise natural littering in your backyard (i.e. logs, leaves, and other combustibles).

• Plan multiple evacuation routes in the event of a fire.

• Attend local bushfire preparation meetings. 

• Clear your gutters of loose leaves and vegetation. 

• Keep a close eye on the QLD Bushfire Ready Radar.

• Turn on push notifications on your phone to be alerted when a fire is present.
